justice crippled
http://news.yahoo.com/mother-pleads-guilty-ohio-malnutrition-death-181849615.html
if you had been given a voice, just once
you could've cry out for water,
if you could sing,
you could enchant the world with dirge of neglect,
in your body wasn't considered trash,
then you would be a Styrofoam cup in the landfill of human depravity
if you could scream,just once
you would be the prophet of our age:
your crooked body would make our world a little straighter.
You were a lamb who laid down with Lions, except there is no peace,
when there should have been love, there was only consumption;
now the media eat your corpse in the cannibalistic orgy of human macabre.
They will drown you in the ocean of psychological relativism;
they will suffocate you with the cellophane packaging of mass media sympathy
they will kill you again and again by every debate about your value
till you are just relic of your kind's worthlessness.
if you mattered at all,
would be infinitely more beautiful than your murderer,
you may not have a voice, but I hear you,
and your silence is an agonizing Requiem of justice,
who is no longer blind, but has become crippled as well
